March of Dimes ~ March for Babies Walk 2009

May 16th, 2009
Greeley Park in Nashua, NH
March for Babies Walk
What a great day we had for the March for Babies walk at Greeley Park in Nashua, NH. Over 200 walkers came out to walk in support of March of Dimes and their mission to help babies have a healthy start. I had the pleasure of being on the planning committee for this walk and worked with some wonderful people who are diligent about raising funds and awareness for the March of Dimes, just incredible people! This walk alone raised over $45,000 that will go towards research and education to help the mission of the March of Dimes. As a woman, mother and Mrs. New Hampshire, I am so very excited to have joined forces with and be a part of the March for Babies Campaign here in New Hampshire! I feel so passionate about the March of Dimes because I believe that every child has the right to a healthy beginning! The March of Dimes champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation. The money we raise for March for Babies will support lifesaving research, services, education and advocacy that help babies get a healthy start. The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. I would love to have you join me in this worthy cause. To join me in either walking or helping me fundraise, please visit my personal March of Dimes Web page at:
Thank you for supporting the March for Babies.

My Mother's Day

Mother's Day is one of the most precious days for me! As much as my daughter's and step daughter's celebrate me as a mommy, I celebrate the "Gift of Motherhood" in all forms. The morning started with my hubby and girls making breakfast for me in bed - what a treat! Then we spent the day in Portsmouth, NH. We love that town, so quaint and lovely. Then we had a special dinner at Girogio's, one of my favorite restaurants in Milford, NH. Mother's day ended with my hubby and girls giving me the best gift of all.....lots of hugs and kisses and OK......the start of my Pandora bracelet collection, I feel so loved! With my girls, I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful family ~ I love you with all my heart and soul!
