Post Nationals Family Fun in Las Vegas

This was our daughter's first time in Las Vegas, so we took them to the Vegas strip to get the feel of what it is all about! Boy, were they amazed by all the tall buildings and bright lights! They loved it! We visited the NY NY so they can see the replica of the Statue of Liberty, now we just have to take them to the real thing! We also went to Circus Circus where they had tons of kid fun and finally, the best part was going to the Siegfried & Roy's Secret Gardens and Dolphin Habitat! It's so great seeing them experience and see something new thru they eyes - it's truly priceless!

Mrs. United States Day 5 - Finals

*** CONGRATULATIONS ***
Tammy Johns-Brown
Mrs. United States 2009
"If you can imagine it, you can achieve it,
If you can dream it, you can become it".
Tonight was the Final Show and the new Mrs. United States was crowned. For all of the 54 women here competing for this prestigious title, it's been a journey and an adventure. Although the journey getting here has been different for all of us individually, the fact that we were all here, on the same stage, sharing in this once in a lifetime experience is just incredible and I know we all feel blessed. Although, I did not make Top 12, which was my personal goal, yes I'm disappointed, but, I'm certainly not devastated. Instead it gives me more strength, knowing that I did the best I could with who I am internally and externally and it gives me peace. I wouldn't have changed a thing. So, I have no regrets, just amazing memories to share forever, a group of 53 wonderful, accomplished and gorgeous women that will be forever sisters and the fact that my family shared in this journey with me is the best part! My 6 year old said to me after the pageant "mama I'm sorry you didn't win for everyone, but you'll always be my Mrs. United States and better yet, my mommy forever". Well folks, that says it all! Congratulations to Tammy Johns-Brown, Mrs. United States 2009 - you were STUNNING!

Mrs. United States Day 4 - Rehearsal

Day 4 brings with it the day that we will officially be seen on stage for competition. All 54 delegates will compete tonight for swimsuit and evening gown. Lots of work went into making the show look "fabulous" and we have our wonderful choreographer Natalie to thank for it! She not only choreographs, but she has an amazing voice and we found out that she is also a bit of a comedian as she repeatedly kept telling us that "there will only be 1 winner, so accept your chances of 1 out of 54 and that 53 of you will not win and deal with it" LOVED IT!!

With our Choreographer for the show - Natalie - she was great to work with and has an amazing singing voice as well!!

With the wonderful and vivacious Stephanie Hunt, Mrs. United states 2007

Now off to get ready for the Interview Stage of the competition. I usually have my camera with me everywhere I go, but I was in such a state of interview mind set, that I completely forgot it. So, my lovely roommate, Mrs. LA used her camera to take a picture of us in interview wear! Knock em dead beautiful!!

Mrs. United States Day 3 - Swimsuit Photo Shoot

Bright and early the ladies got all dolled up and ready for their swimsuit photo shoot at the pool! We didn't have to wear our competition bathing suit - we could wear whatever we wanted, so I did, can we say "polka dots"? As for the way everyone looked... how many ways can I say WOW and VaaaVaaaVooom!!
Red, White and Blue
Love my polka dots! The New England gals!! With Garianne, Mrs. United States 2008, isn't she lovely?
